Fourteen Years Into 2020

I want to apologize for the late post. I had planned to update the blog at least once a month, but with everything going on in the world, April and May got away from me.

I want to start off this post by saying that #BlackLivesMatter

I am a white woman from a small town in the middle of Massachusetts. I am super non-confrontational and try to keep politics out of my business. However, staying silent in times of injustice is privilege and I refuse to hide behind mine and do nothing. I do not experience the world the same a black woman or a woman of color and I am trying my best to listen and learn and help fight when and how I can. Whether this is donating to black causes or supporting black makers, I am committed to using my voice and my privilege to help those who are oppressed.

This month, TSB will be donating to various black and queer charities. We kicked off the month with donations to both the Minnesota Freedom Fund and the Black Visions Collective.

I will be making more donations throughout the month, both to Black charities as well as LGBTQ+ charities for Pride Month. I will also be making a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation in memory of my grandmother who passed away from Parkinson’s earlier this month.

And now for the normal TSB stuff…

New for May has been updated to New for June and May’s newness has been redistributed to the proper sections. I have lots of ideas for June, but Father’s Day and intense seasonal allergies are kicking my butt right now. If you have messaged me and I haven’t responded, it’s not because I’m ignoring you, it’s because it’s taking me way longer to process things and brain right now. This blog post alone has taken me almost two weeks to write and there’s not really anything Earth shattering here. I have new post earrings coming, new etched items, and some sterling silver rings that I’m hoping turn out as amazing in reality as they are looking in my head. I’m also going to finally finally finally try to have Lady Luna completed.

And that is all for my babbling. I need to get back to work because the Father’s Day items keep pouring in and I’m just sitting here wasting time. Stay safe out there!
