The New Year

I fully admit that I am terrible at social media. I go through spurts where I focus on it and everything is good and then forget it exists? That’s kind of where I am with Instagram right now. I’m not even sure if anyone uses it anymore. And then there’s TikTok which I have ideas for that never really come to fruition. Combine that with the after holidays “I don’t want to do anything” creative drain, and well, it’s the perfect storm of not updating anything. But I am alive, and working.

Fall News & Updates

The back to school chaos has been the focus for the last few weeks and I’ve fallen behind on, well, basically everything that didn’t include the making and shipping of a current order. Now that the kids are back in school and (I can usually finish [most of] a thought), I have started to get back into the swing of designing new items, updating the website and updating you on things to come. {I say that but it’s taken me over a week to write this post…}

July's Donation

About two and a half weeks ago, I released a few items with all profits being donated to specific charities for reproductive freedom. The first charity to receive the donations is The Afiya Center. The Afiya Center is the only Reproductive Justice center in North Texas founded and directed by Black womxn.

Updates, News, and Donations

IIt has been a year. I swear every time I sit down to write a post, something happens that makes a blog post about my small business seem meaningless. I’m always torn with how much I should share about my personal life, but let’s just say everything from death to surgery to covid has come at us this year, and doing anything beyond keeping up with orders has been difficult. Unfortunately blog posting is one of the things that fell through the cracks. Without further ado, here is some long awaited information on site updates, shipping issues, and fundraising.

Holiday Prep & New Stuff

It feels incredibly odd to be thinking about Christmas when the kids just went back to school, but unfortunately the holidays sneak up super fast. I’m putting together my holiday ordering and shipping dates, but I’m not sure how accurate they’ll be if this season goes anything like last year.

Spring Has Sprung!

I’m not entirely sure what happened… one minute I’m finalizing the January blog post and the next thing it’s April! It’s definitely very different from last year when March lasted for six years!

TSB in 2021

At the end of every year, when I’m thoroughly burnt out from Christmas and all I want to do is <strike>burn down my studio, move to a remote mountaintop and forget people exist</strike> sleep, I start to contemplate all of the things I want to do with TSB. Most of what I dream up is pretty much only going to happen if I win the lottery, and some of it is necessity based on things out of my control.

Behind The Scenes - The Making of My Sterling Silver Coffin Earrings

Now that June is over and the Father’s Day craziness is (mostly) behind me, I decided to take a minute to make something that I really wanted to make. I love Halloween. I love fall, I love dressing up, I mean candy! and love the fun scariness of it all. I also may or may not have an unhealthy obsession with vampires. Anywho, when I saw this coffin stamp from Font Fixation, I knew I had to get it and make earrings. I also have many many many other ideas for it, but earrings are quick and usually easy.

March Musings & Hey! An Instagram Contest!

I’m finally putting that mailing list to use, so make sure you sign up so you don’t miss anything. Sales, new collections, and contests are just a few of the things I will be announcing through the list. I promise I will not send multiple messages a day like certain places you may have shopped (I’m looking at you, Children’s Place), but more of a once a month roundup of stuff.

Jewelry Care

If you’ve ordered from me before, you know that all of my jewelry items (with the exception of keychains, sorry) come with a polishing cloth and instructions on how to use that cloth. I mean, it’s fairly simple… rub the item with the cloth when it’s dirty, but I figured it would be good to cover that a bit more in depth.
