Fall News & Updates

The back to school chaos has been the focus for the last few weeks and I’ve fallen behind on, well, basically everything that didn’t include the making and shipping of a current order. Now that the kids are back in school and (I can usually finish [most of] a thought), I have started to get back into the swing of designing new items, updating the website and updating you on things to come. {I say that but it’s taken me over a week to write this post…}

First of all, we had another great month with the keychains and pendants. August’s donations went to The National Network of Abortion Funds. The total sales were $44.50, rounded up to $50. I also covered the processing fee of $2. I will keep the fundraiser going as long as people keep buying the items, but sales have been winding down, so there might not be a donation next month. If there is, it will be going to Planned Parenthood. Please share the items with anyone who you think will appreciate them and would like to see the proceeds going to a good cause!

Over the next few months, I’m going to be changing the website around. I will also be getting rid of some older products, so if there is something you’ve been eyeing, now is the time to buy it because it might be gone. I will also be changing my tagline… when I first started, I was pretty exclusively making military jewelry, and while I still do, I seem to be making mostly book related items now. Which brings me to my next item of business—I’m going to be hijacking my blog and adding in book related content—reviews, one off items created based off the book I’m reading that will be given away on Instagram. All of the posts will be tagged with some form of #Book #BookJournal something like that so they can be found in between the update posts. I’m hoping that this will keep me more engaged with the social aspect of the business. (Also, no judgement for what I read…) The first posts will be ApollyCon authors because I have somehow managed to score tickets for next year. I think that about wraps it up, but I may think of something I forgot to add later, but will update in the comments if that happens.
