The New Year

I fully admit that I am terrible at social media. I go through spurts where I focus on it and everything is good and then forget it exists? That’s kind of where I am with Instagram right now. I’m not even sure if anyone uses it anymore. And then there’s TikTok which I have ideas for that never really come to fruition. Combine that with the after holidays “I don’t want to do anything” creative drain, and well, it’s the perfect storm of not updating anything. But I am alive, and working.

I have unfortunately not listed any new products lately, partly because of said creative block, partly because my executive dysfunction is in FULL SWING right now—It’s taken pretty much everything I have to keep up with current orders, and partly because my household keeps getting hit with school germs. I don’t think a week has gone by without a stomach bug, cold, or flu since the kids went back to school after the holiday break. This means that I have a plethora of inventory that will be added over the course of the next few months. Photographing, pricing, adding descriptions are incredibly time consuming, so it will be slow going, but will happen, I promise.

I also have a list of products that will be discontinued in the coming months. Most are due to insanely high supply costs or discontinued components. I also have a list of items that will be changing due to having to find workarounds for missing or changed components. I also have a changed item that had a component come briefly back into stock from my supplier, so I bought them out and now can do a limited run. More details on those will be up when I have everything accounted for and in front of me.

We also closed out the year with another donation to The National Network of Abortion Funds of $78.83. The total raised for the various charities last year was $313.16. Not too shabby for my small business. Thank you so much for all your purchases that lead to this. The fundraiser is ongoing, and there will be another donation update in March.

A while back, I had said I wanted to combine my bookish nature with TSB projects and actually started a few reviews and projects, but got busy and never came back to it. well, because of the creative rut I’m in, I’ve decided to come back to it. There is a new blog on the website for Dog-Eared Reads, my bookish blog and project space. I’m hoping that I can inspire creativity by making things based off of my favorite reads each month.

On that note, I will also be out of the studio April 25th - May 2nd. I will be attending Apollycon in Washington, DC this year and will be closing up shop for the week to become one with my inner book nerd. I would definitely expect more bookish items to appear leading up to, and following the event. I’m actually working on some wooden bookmarks and some bookish bullet journal items now.

I think that’s all my ramblings for today. As always, if you have questions or comments, send an email through the contact page or leave a comment on the blog. Until next time!
